The SRW-5500 is a high-end HD digital videocassette recorder
that employs the HDCAM-SR format. This VTR
also allows recording and playback of the well-proven HDCAM format.
Applications range from HDTV to digital cinematography. Key features
include high-quality 1080i, 1080PsF, or 720P recording and playback,
a wide array of internal format conversions, including 4:4:4 to 4:2:2,
legacy playback of Digital Betacam tape formats.
Operating Instructions The PDW-HD1500 will record and replay XDCAM HD 50 Mb/s 4:2:2 data
onto 50 GB Dual-layer Professional Disc. With interfaces including i.LINK
and Ethernet, the PDW-HD1500 can operate at the heart of small or large
scale file-based networked systems. VTR-like JOG/shuttle operation and
video interfaces including HD-SDI and SD-SDI also makes the PDW-HD1500
ideal for operation in more traditional vide-based installations.The
PDW-HD1500 has been designed to increase the appeal of XDCAM HD for
high-end applications such as drama, documentary and natural history
and for mainstream entertainment programmes that required a prestige
quality look.File-based acquisition onto Professional Disc, with thumbnail
and proxy operation will also make the PDW-HDW-1500 ideal for networked
applications where speed of production is a critical.

InstructionsThe HVR-1500 is an HDV source feeder/recorder positioned at the top of the Sony HDV Series. Inheriting the design concept of the market-acclaimed DSR-1500AP, the HVR-1500 offers the same convenient features that professional users demand, such as quick mechanical response, multi-format DV playback and a rich set of professional video/audio interfaces ranging from analogue to digital SDI and AES/EBU. The HVR-1500 can also be used as a Standard Definition DVCAM recorder, in which case the same editing facilities as the DSR-1500AP are offered.

The HDV-M10 model is a lightweight, compact 1080i
HDV VTR capable of recording and playback of HDV, DVCAM, DV formats
and incorporates a 3.5-inch color
LCD viewing screen. In addition to allowing compatibility
to the standard definition DV world, the 1080i-recorded image can also
be down-converted to SD output mode directly from VTR or camcorder in
the digital or analog domain. The compact VTR also benefits from both
main power and battery operation for better operation flexibility.
